Hartbeespoort, known fondly by locals and holidaymakers as Harties, is a vibey, country suburb of fun and adventure thanks to its unique landscape and cultural heritage. With plenty of second homeowners and a few commuters to Pretoria and Johannesburg, there is always something new and exciting to sink your teeth into.
Because Harties is filled with so many things to see and do, we at Property Tree have decided to narrow down some of our favourites for new timers and return adventurers alike!
Mountain hiking and cable car attractions
The hallmark attraction of Harties and considered the most popular destination in town is the iconic Aerial Cableway located just outside the main agricultural holdings. Harties cableway boasts excellent amenities for visitors with a lavish restaurant, express food stalls for hikers on the go and picturesque seating areas and bomas once you reach the peak of the famous Magaliesberg range.
The Cableway experience is perfect for the whole family. Bring your kids along with to experience the delightful Dassie Loop Walkway to catch a glimpse of these adorable furry friends or if you prefer doing a more arduous hike with your partner, the KidZone is a safe and monitored space to leave your children while you experience the various trails the mountain range has to offer.
Run and managed by an experienced and friendly staff, the Harties Aerial Cableway is considered a local keepsake that any visitor simply has to experience. Prices per trip are usually R240.00 per adult and R150.00 per child.
